In 2005, Ms. Spohrer developed the Permanency Project for Duval County's Guardian Ad Litem Program to expedite adoptions for children in foster care. The Permanency Project was funded by a grant from The Florida Bar Foundation and the Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program and was designed to identify and overcome obstacles for children languishing in foster care.
Ms. Spohrer is currently a subcommittee member for the Florida Supreme Court Steering Committee on Families and Children in Court and a board member of the Florida Adoption Information Board. She was a speaker at the 2007 Summit for Children in New York. Ms. Spohrer received her Juris Doctorate with honors from the Florida Coastal School of Law. Her professional affiliations include: The Florida Bar, the Florida Justice Association, the Middle District of Florida, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Chester Bedell Inns of Court, 2002.
Ms. Spohrer was born in New Orleans and raised in Augusta, Georgia. She is married with two children.
