Spohrer Dodd Founding Partner and President Robert Spohrer recently served as a featured lecturer at the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association’s 2018 Annual Meeting & CLE Seminar. Spohrer’s seminar presentation focused on Machine Guarding Litigation.
Held this past week from Thursday, December 6 to Saturday December 8, the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association’s Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of plaintiffs’ lawyers in the state. The association provides attorneys who champion victims’ rights and individual and corporate accountability with the resources to help them effectively advocate for the injured and the wronged. This includes frequent meetings and seminars, including continuing legal education (CLE) necessary for lawyers to maintain their license to practice law, and improve upon their ability to effectively tackle challenging issues.
Recognized as one of the Top 100 Trial Attorneys in the U.S., Robert Spohrer was invited to serve on KTLA’s CLE panel of presenters, comprised of fellow trial lawyers widely regarded among the best in their fields. His presentation – Machine Guarding Litigation: What’s Old, What’s New and What’s on the Horizon – focused on the essential safeguards that protect workers from preventable injuries in workplaces that utilize machines and heavy equipment with moving parts. The presentation also discussed the evolution of how these cases are litigated, and what trial lawyers who take on these challenging claims can do to effectively protect the rights of their clients.
Robert Spohrer’s invitation to speak at KTLA’s recent Annual Meeting & CLE Seminar speaks volumes about the respect and recognition he has earned throughout the legal community, as well as his role in educating current practicing attorneys and the next generation of legal minds. A dual Board-Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Law and Aviation Law by the Florida Bar, Spohrer has leveraged his expertise and experience to secure major victories for thousands of clients in cases involving workplace injuries, defective products, aviation accidents, personal injury, and more.
His work in the courtroom has also earned him international media coverage, and has made him a much sought after lecturer and legal educator. In addition to publishing white papers and delivering lectures for organizations such as the Florida Bar, National Transportation Safety Board, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America, he also serves as Adjunct Faculty in Trial Advocacy for Florida Coastal School of Law.
