Guardian ad Litem’s Thanks & Giving Friend Raiser

The Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Florida’s First Coast was held at the Riverplace Tower Skyline Room on November 8^thfrom 6-8pm for this year’s Thanks & Giving Friend Raiser – an opportunity to learn how you might help assure that all children in the Fourth Circuit Dependency Court system have a voice in the outcome of their future. Spohrer Dodd joined for an inspirational evening where we enjoyed the sweet sounds of Mama Blue, delicious bites from Designed Events, and learned more about the critical work Guardian ad Litem is doing on behalf of abused, abandoned and neglected children in Florida.

A volunteer Guardian ad Litem is appointed by the court to advocate on behalf of children who are at the mercy of the Florida court system mainly due to alleged abuse or neglect. A Guardian ad Litem issues independent recommendations to the court based on the needs of each child they represent. Spohrer Dodd is a proud sponsor of The Florida Guardian ad Litem program, which connects children with volunteer child advocates who are appointed by courts to act as a powerful voice to protect the rights of children in a court proceeding.
