Spohrer Dodd Attorneys Selected for Super Lawyers 2019

Our team at Spohrer Dodd is proud to announce the inclusion of three of our own attorneys in the prestigious 2019 Super Lawyers list. The Thomas Reuters Super Lawyers list is a well-respected acknowledgment granted to only a few of the most qualified attorneys in their respective fields. This year, our firm is honored to have attorneys Robert Spohrer, Roger Dodd, and Barry Newman among those selected.

The Super Lawyers list is a highly regarded legal resource used to single out some of the most respected lawyers in the community. In order to qualify for inclusion, attorneys must first pass a rigorous selection process, where nominees are evaluated based on their education, experience, case results, and more.

Before Super Lawyers selects lawyers for inclusion, candidates are nominated either by their peers, the Super Lawyers research group, or by client feedback. Next, they are subject to a 12-point assessment, whereby the Super Lawyers team reviews each attorney’s awards, certifications, verdicts and settlements, pro bono work, bar activity, community involvement, and more. Once all of the necessary research is complete, the remaining candidates are reviewed by a Blue-Ribbon Panel of their most distinguished peers, where the final candidates will be selected.

In the end, only 5% of practicing attorneys are listed as Super Lawyers. At Spohrer Dodd, our firm is exceedingly proud of the recent accomplishments of attorneys Robert Spohrer, Roger Dodd, and Barry Newman that led to their selection for the 2019 Super Lawyers list.

Attorney Robert Spohrer is the President, CEO, and Senior Partner of Spohrer Dodd, and as such has been selected for Super Lawyers lists several times during his past 40 years in practice. He has worked on many successful cases over the years, obtaining more than 100 million dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients while also taking on several pro bono cases. While Attorney Spohrer works on a variety of cases, he focuses on matters involving aircraft incidents, medical negligence, and defective product injuries.

Since 1976, Attorney Roger J. Dodd has worked in the legal field as an attorney, board-certified civil trial specialist, lecturer, expert witness, and teacher. Attorney Dodd has been successful in a wide variety of civil and criminal cases and is particularly passionate about taking on pro bono cases as an advocate for children. This is not his first time being included in the Super Lawyers list, and it will likely not be his last.

Attorney Barry Newman works primarily on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving aviation law, transportation accidents, premises liability, and product liability. He formerly worked as a law enforcement officer and frequently uses his extensive experience and knowledge to help his clients fight for justice in court.
